"Amazing doctor and an amazing staff very pleased with the service I received"- A.R. / Google / Aug 19, 2021
"I have received wonderful service at Dr. Rafla's office from the moment I enter the office. The front desk staff are welcoming and attentive.. Every hygienist that have cleaned my teeth over the years have been outstanding. I couldn't be more pleased. Absolutely 5 stars."- B.M. / Google / Aug 05, 2021
"Would I recommend Dr Rafla? Of course! I have already recommended him many times. His offices, Marlborough and Worcester, are clean and up-to-date; but it's his skill, his personality and his staff that really set him apart from others. If implants sound prohibitively expensive, consider my experience. I've spent far more on other dental 'solutions' that ended in failure - money wasted. Implants, though, have provided permanent, trouble-free teeth. Other dentists have commented on his skill and his use of the best materials."- B.W. / Google / Jul 02, 2021
"Very organized and efficient Office. I had a gum graft and subsequent cleanings. I would highly recommend Dr Rafla and his dental associates."- J.Z. / Google / Jun 16, 2021
"Dr Rafla and his team, did an outstanding job I can not even believe how well my procedure went after years of pain and fear of surgery I put off having many teeth extracted and bone graphs and implants Dr Rafla was referred to me by Dr Stanley Levenson who I trust and respect he promised me I would be in the best of hands and Dr Rafla did exceptional work. I can honestly say it could not have gone better I had little to no swelling or bleeding and minimal to no pain. I am so pleased with how it went and how I feel one day later with no pain medication other than a little ice and Motrin. Thank you Dr Levenson for your referal and thank you Dr Rafla I could not be more satisfied and grateful. Tricia White"- P.W. / Google / Jun 08, 2021
Sedation dentistry is a wonderful choice for patients who feel anxious or nervous about their dental treatment. Sedation dentistry involves using a sedative medication to help you feel more relaxed and calm during your dental visit. There are several types of sedation dentistry available based on your individual needs and preferences:
- Nitrous oxide, (laughing gas), which is a sedative gas that is mixed with oxygen. You simply inhale the gas during your treatment to help you feel more relaxed. Nitrous oxide is a mild form of sedation that wears off within just a few minutes after we stop the flow of gas.
- Oral sedation, which involves taking an oral medication before your treatment. By the time of your appointment, you will feel calm and at ease.
- IV sedation, which involves administering the medication intravenously (through the veins). This type of sedation enables Dr. Rafla to provide the sedation more quickly, and we can also easily control the level of sedation to ensure that you stay comfortable. IV sedation is a form of conscious sedation, meaning that it will not make you unconscious, but you may feel so relaxed that you fall asleep during your treatment. You may also not remember all of the details of your visit.
Your Safety is Our Priority
Sedation dentistry will help you feel more comfortable during your treatment. Our experienced dentist and dental team will ensure that your entire treatment is safe. Each member of our team is highly trained, and we will carefully monitor you during your visit. If you have chosen oral or IV sedation, please be sure to have a friend or family member available to drive you to and from your appointment.
If you suffer from dental anxiety, if you have had negative experiences at the dentist in the past, or if you simply feel nervous about your treatment, sedation dentistry can help you feel more at ease. Sedation dentistry is also a good choice for patients who have difficulty getting numb or who have an extremely sensitive gag reflex.
